Hello my name is Pete Gonzales, Owner and Operator of Gonzales Electric. I’m a third generation electrician, my father started Gonzales Electric when I was born in 1965. I grew up working side by side with my father before venturing out into the world to further my electrical education and experience, thus gaining my own electrical contractors license in 1993. I have extensive training and experience in residential, commercial and industrial electrical fields. Being born and raised in the central San Joaquin Valley, our family business provided electrical service to the farmers of my hometown and surrounding areas. This has taught me the value of hard work and commitment to our customers. My father and I provided tireless service to these farmers till my father passed in 2019. My family and I relocated to the central coast in 2012 and have adopted the area as my new home bringing with me the hardworking values my father instilled in me.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ WORK QUALITY, VALUE, PROFESSIONALISM, PUNCTUALITY & RESPONSIVENESS
I cannot recommend Pete Gonzalez Electric highly enough. Pete recently replaced the original 1960s main electrical panel on my home and completely corrected questionable electrical service to my garage. I now have a safer, more efficient electrical system—and tremendous peace of mind.
From beginning to end, Pete’s communication was excellent. He listened carefully to my concerns about electrical safety for my home, explained the work clearly, handled all permitting, and went the extra mile by arranging specialized infrared ground testing to verify proper grounding.
When the work was scheduled, Pete planned for two days and even provided a portable toilet for his crew—a small detail that speaks volumes about how professionally he runs his business and takes care of his electricians. His crew arrived punctually, worked efficiently and professionally, and completed the entire project in one day.
Pete brings a lifetime of electrical experience to his work, and it shows. He is knowledgeable, thorough, responsive, safety-conscious, and highly capable. Just as importantly, he is genuinely kind and respectful, with a wonderful sense of humor. It was a pleasure having him and his crew working at my home.
I would trust Pete with virtually any electrical project and recommend him without hesitation. In fact, I’ll be calling him again soon for additional outlets, new bathroom light/exhaust fans, and installation of a dining room light fixture.
Excellent workmanship, exceptional professionalism, and a genuinely good person to work with. Five stars without question.

Gonzalez Electric is hands down one of the best companies I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Excellent communication, customer service and workmanship. Pete installed a 220 outlet in my home and was extremely thorough. He had to cut into some drywall to do the job, and instead of throwing away the pieces, we replaced them with screws - saving me additional time and money. Very professional from start to finish with everything done cleanly and safely. Highly recommended!!

Javier was able to come the same day. Right on time, polite and professional. Went step by step diagnosing the problem (even encouraged me to watch and learn) and was able to figure it out and fix it in the first call. Pete was fabulous communicating and explaining the process. These are my go-to elections from now on and I highly recommend them!

FAQs
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First of all I discuss the expectations of the customer, with regard to the job, what that are trying to achieve, improve upon in the electrical system ,in my case. Next what kind of budget are they working with, this way I can present options on how to improve on the system, the budget may not allow for an elaborate panel change out or house rewire, but my goal is to make improvements that make the structure safe, if an unsafe situation presents itself, above all else, then move on to additional work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 40+ years experience in the electrical industry, a third generation electrician I’ve worked in just about every aspect of the trade. In addition to my hands on experience I’ve had completed courses in industrial technology, as well as holding licenses as a journeyman and electrical contractor.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’m a third generation electrician so I’ve been able to benefit from seeing first hand the changes and advances in technology and installation techniques, this has been a huge benefit in being able to serve my customers in a timely, efficient manner.
