Phil is the answer. First, he actually read my description of my problem before he responded with his offer. Using my info he was able to provide a reasonable (and correct) diagnosis and solution for me---a new hard drive---which he installed promptly. And got my computer back up, with all of my files and software restored. Value added is an understatement---on time, fee and time to repair spot on with no changes, and a very pleasant person as well!
