We, are truly disappointed and frustrated with the quality of work that Lopiccolo Constructions have demonstrated at our home. On or about November 10, 2014, the company Lopiccolo Construction Inc. began work at our residence. Prior to the work commencing, we had a verbal agreement that Mr. Lopiccolo would complete the work within a week, due to us leaving to Hawaii on November 15, 2014. On November 13, 2014, the owner of Lopiccolo Constructions, Blake Lopiccolo, informed us that the work would take a little longer, because he wanted everything to be "just right". After, conferencing with my husband in regards to the situation, we both agreed to grant Mr. Lopiccolo access to our home while the entire family was away. When we asked Mr. Lopiccolo an estimated completion time frame, he told us that he would need a few more days since the steps were taking a little longer than expected. At the time we were elated since the demolition of the carpeted area had went very smoothly. Although, the job did not meet the dead line, WE decided not to bring it up to Mr. Lopiccolo since the pictures he was texting me seemed to like the workmanship was superior. When we returned home from Hawaii we were surprised to see our home in such disrepair. We immediately informed Mr. Lopiccolo of our displeasure via e-mail and by phone. These were the major work discrepancies. However, Lopiccolo Construction removed the bottom sliding rail to our daughters' closet during the installation of the flooring but, never replaced said part. The sliding doors now dangle unstably when opening or closing the doors. In addition to the aforementioned discrepancies, Lopiccolo Construction employees removed the majority of our second floor base boards. The hallway and master bedroom baseboards were replaced with noticeably cheap counterparts and the workmanship looks horrendous. The two bedrooms for our daughters and one bedroom for our guest bedroom were repulsively replaced with the previous baseboards of each room. We were told that these were temporary baseboards; which we expressed to Mr. Lopiccolo to be a waste of funding on our behalf (he upcharged us for the additional cost of the baseboards) Mr. Lopiccolo came by and attempted to "repair" the work by using a razor blade to scrape off the paint residue from the window and panel (causing the panel paint to be scraped off along with the paint residue). He then had his worker repair the faulty and damaged stair flooring (which has left gaps along the attempted repairs and noticeable paint stains on the stair planks), but nothing was done to fix the large gaps between walls and flooring. Additionally, my oldest daughters' room was painted by an employee of Mr. Lopiccolo and it is sublime (to which Mr. Lopiccolo had said it would cost $180, then reneged on the agreed cost and charged me $200. He had demanded to be paid even though the work was not complete and we were not able to inspect thoroughly due to the flooring being installed). The areas that was taped off from when we had originally started painting was not professionally replaced causing an unsightly view of the previous paint color. The door panel was taken off and recklessly replaced. The damages and discrepancies are lengthy. We have photo documentations of all the issues that Lopiccolo Constructions has created in our home. The most significant issue is the improper installation of the bamboo flooring - it is separating and buckling. It has been attributed to the wood not being permitted to acclimate as required by the installation instructions, and it is obvious from the enclosed photographs that the pattern in which the flooring was installed failed to comply with the mandates of page 8 of the Morningstar installation manual. The flooring will have to be torn out and replaced. Cost to replace:$10,750 per new estimate. This cost does not include baseboards, rails or repainting
