About

I love math, I love science, and I love working with kids! I have been tutoring students in math and science since 2005, when I myself was in high school. I have a BS from UC Davis in Neurobiology, as well as a master's from UC Irvine in the same subject matter. Throughout my entire education I have tutored and student taught in classrooms. I have been a full time math and science teacher for the past year. I have taught life science, biology, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, physics, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, algebra 2, pre-calculus (trigonometry), calculus, and SAT preparatory courses. I have experience working with main-stream students, as well as extensive experience working with students who have learning, social, or emotional differences. I pride myself in finding unique ways to explain concepts to students, and being able to help them have those wonderful "ah-ha!" moments. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hire someone who has in depth subject matter knowledge and who has a passion for teaching. Specifically, hire someone who will listen to your child and be able to diagnose the problems he/she is having. This will make the experience more efficient and more pleasurable for everyone involved!
