Astrid Rocks! She designed our office in SF and then when we moved to Oakland she came up with a completely new look and feel - all on our non-profit budget. She has an amazing eye and is a spectacular buyer. When we insisted that EVERYTHING - and I mean every piece of furniture, flower vase, and coaster had to be used and recycled - she understood immediately and went on a treasure hunt bringing back the greatest stuff that all felt like one thing when she put it together. Much gratitude to her and her talents to make such a wonderful working space for our team!

When we moved our nonprofit office to downtown Oakland, we needed all "new" office furniture. Since we are an environmental foundation, reusing existing materials was a must. Astrid Design Studio found used desks, chairs, tables etc which were in perfect shape and really fit our new space. She made picking out wall colors, carpet, and flooring a snap. The new office looks great! Best off all, they hung all of our artwork.

At our non-profit we signed a new lease which meant an opportunity for new carpets and paint. We visited another organization's office in our building who had used Astrid Design Studios. Their office had a great atmosphere and a nice palette of colors. We had an idea of what we wanted but needed advice about how to make it all work together in our space. We called Astrid Design Studios and Astrid came to visit our space, picked out our paint colors, showed us how to best accent the walls and then picked out our carpet to match. We're all so excited and can't wait to be in our new beautiful office!

Nancy Astrid helped me with redesiging my kitchen in New York City. She designed a beautiful new kitchen that is exactly my taste. She is truly a wonderful designer that has fantastic ideas and listens to her customer. the new kitchen looks very elegant and has a lot more storage space. I love my new kitchen!

Astrid is an absolute rockstar interior designer! Shes very professional and respectful of her clients. We had an initial consultation where we met for coffee and she introduced her style/focus and we discussed my project. She automatically came up with some great ideas, and told me that she'd be very consultative throughout the process. After the meeting, she sent me a very thorough proposal, and outlined all of the items and areas she was going to work on. I also like how she's very eco-friendly, and has a strong emphasis on using recycled or reused items. Instead of just going online and picking items, she goes through the work of hunting in antique shops and used stores. I'd highly recommend her for any project whether it's commercial or residential. She's works closely with her clients, and makes the process very creative, fun, and all within your agreed upon budget.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Living in Seville Spain as a young 18 year old, I was inspired by all the exotic architecture and design and wanted to be have the ability to create beautiful spaces!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am working on a kitchen remodel in New York City's upper west side and it is a typical kitchen in Manhattan - tiny and with no storage. It was so wonderful to create a space for my client that was functional, beautiful visually more spacious!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always sign a contract!
