FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer clear, affordable flat-fee pricing whenever possible. The exact price depends on the type and complexity of the documents, and I confirm the fee before starting. Court filing fees, service of process, notarization, recording fees, postage, and other third-party costs are separate. Discounts may be available for bundled documents.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a brief conversation to understand what documents the customer needs, the deadline, and the current status of the matter. I then provide a written price and request the information and documents needed for preparation. After the customer reviews the draft, I make any included corrections and provide the completed documents with filing, signing, or service instructions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a registered and bonded California Legal Document Assistant. My experience includes preparing and formatting California court forms, organizing exhibits, e-filing documents, preparing proofs of service, and assisting with estate planning, family law, small claims, collections, and other self-help document matters. I regularly review current court forms and filing requirements.
