FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Current prices for lessons, leases, training programs and board are listed on our website. New riders book and pay for their 2-hour introductory lesson online, by card or Apple Pay. Regular lessons and monthly programs are paid by Zelle or Venmo. Siblings get a 25% discount, and so do a parent and child who both ride with us.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we start with a 2-hour introductory lesson. We meet, talk about your experience, your goals and your schedule, and I see how you ride. For beginners, they learn to groom and tack up one of our calm school horses, then ride with a trainer. Afterwards I suggest a plan that fits you to achieve your goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional trainer and coach for 26 years. I hold a degree in Microbiology from UC Davis, and that grounding shapes how I look after every horse’s health, nutrition, conditioning and rehab. Over the years I have worked, trained and ridden with some of the best riders and trainers in the country, including Olympic riders and coaches. I keep learning from them and bring that back to my students and horses.
