Ms. Eng is wonderful! She works on Royal Conservatory of Music material but covers theory and other pieces as well. The balance between learning piano as a passion and learning piano for an exam is well maintained. She also adds history and general knowledge about instruments to help students put themselves in the era of the composers to really get a feel for the piece.

Linda is an extremely talented vocal coach! She is wonderful at articulating singing techniques in a way that resonate with me. She has so much knowledge and expertise, and customizes my sessions to fit with my needs and work on my improvement areas. Absolutely amazing experience working with Linda! I had set a goal song that I’ve always wanted to be able to sing, and in just the first session she was able to identify what was holding me back vocally and helped me work past those hurdles. Not only did we work on actual vocals but she made sure that I understood how and why we are using different muscles to produce sound, and that physical awareness I believe was a huge contributing factor to me actually making some good progress with my goals! My son has been learning piano with Linda for couple months and he absolutely loves it. He started with zero experience and now can read notes, follow beats and play one or two Christmas songs. Linda is very patient with kid and adapts a fun and interactive way to let them love to learn music. I highly recommend her.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At the first lesson, I will ask you to tell me a little bit about your own goals and musical interests. From there I will select the best quality materials for you and you will know what to expect from every lesson, as well as what to practice during the week.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm an experienced stage performer in both voice and piano with a bachelor's degree in music education and a master's in education. I've been performing with a local band for the last 10 years!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that you hire a music teacher who has a college music degree, who can explain techniques in many effective ways. Hire a music teacher who is warm and makes you feel at ease!
