Specializing in: Elderly Fearful Disabled Special needs Rescue dogs My focus is the quality of the experience over the quantity of cuts. Pups need time to get used to a new person and experience and I believe in the importance of working at the pets pace rather than my own. Grooming should be a fun, relaxing, and loving experience. I take the time to let your pet get to know me and work through their fears of what grooming entails. In my years of grooming for big box stores, here were some things I noticed: •In order to stay on track with appointments scheduled throughout the day many big box groomers can only allow themselves 1-1.5 hours to groom a dog all while also managing phone calls and appointment scheduling, checking in and out clients, and maintaining salon cleanliness. •Often the groomers are pushed to be more concerned with the look of the groom over what is right by the dog. •Being rushed through their groom without time to slow down and pay close attention to things such as arthritic limbs and limited range of motion can put elder pets under stress and strain. •Many pets with issues such as fear biting are often rushed through the grooming process in a fast paced big box setting. •Their groomer simply may not have the time to take to help your pet understand that grooming won't hurt and actually makes them feel better. All these things pushed me towards offering a service that is much more accommodating to those pets who require extra care. Working with one client at a time allows me the time and focus to cater to learn your pets personality. In this setting I am allowed more time one on one with your pet to work at their pace and accommodate their needs removing some of the stress of getting to know a new place.
