FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every case is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all price in criminal defense. The cost of a case depends on factors such as the type of charge, the court involved, the complexity of the case, and what is required to properly defend it. During our free consultation, we take the time to ask the right questions, explain your legal situation, and outline what a strong defense would involve. After that conversation, we are able to provide a clear and accurate quote. We charge flat fees, not hourly rates. This means you know the full cost upfront, with no hidden fees or surprise charges. Our pricing is transparent, and we clearly explain what services are included. We also understand that legal issues are often unexpected, so we offer payment plans in many cases to help make quality legal representation more affordable. Our goal is to be upfront, fair, and honest about pricing while delivering experienced, high-quality defense.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When you contact our office, your call is answered by a live person, not an automated system. We understand that criminal cases are stressful, and speaking with a real person right away matters. Our staff will schedule a consultation directly with an attorney, not a sales representative. During that consultation, the attorney will listen to your situation, answer your questions, explain your legal options, and discuss how our firm can help you move forward. If you decide to work with us, we make the process as simple as possible. We can handle paperwork and documents electronically or in person, depending on what is most convenient for you. Our goal is to reduce stress, provide clear guidance, and make working with a criminal defense law firm easy and straightforward during a very difficult time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and my law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles. I became a licensed attorney in 2006. Early in my career, I worked as a prosecutor with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, where I handled a wide range of cases—from Driving Under the Influence and domestic violence cases to serious felonies and homicides. While there, I was assigned to the Vehicular Homicide Unit and was honored with the Prosecutor of the Year award by MADD for my work on DUI-related cases. Over the course of my career, I have reviewed and handled thousands of criminal cases and have personally tried over 100 jury trials, along with hundreds of bench trials, motion hearings, and preliminary hearings. I have handled jury trials involving DUI, domestic assault, and homicide cases in California and other states. Some of the cases I’ve worked on have been featured in Dateline, CNBC, the Riverside Press, and the Los Angeles Times. Today, I use my background as a former prosecutor to defend clients, giving them the advantage of knowing how the government builds cases—and how to challenge them effectively.
