Jonathan has been amazing with my fur-son, Winston, whos the goodest boy thanks to him! Weve been training together since my pup was about 4 months old; hes 3 now and we are still happy clients. As a proof of concept of Jonathans dog training abilities, heres more about WinstonAs a very front of the pack type dog, Winston has struggled with his dog reactivity but I couldnt imagine how he would be today without Jonathans training and advice. Though he may be skeptical of other dogs, he is amazing with people and kids, including my infant niece. Winston has come a long way in trusting me and his neutrality around dogs and I am thankful to Jonathan for giving me hope he may one day meet service dog standards. His obedience is really good and strangers in public compliment how well behaved he is. Even so, I still learn something helpful every session and in a way that makes sense so I know how to apply it myself. There are few people in this world I trust fully with my dog, and Jonathan is one of them.

I grew up with dogs but found myself lost when I rescued my 2 yr old chow/shepherd a couple months ago. I had a 20yr old cat who was declining and I was overwhelmed by the endless information on the internetThe issues at hand were:-Resource guarding toys, bowls, bones-Lunging at kitty-Fearful of everyone and everythingI came across Pack Leader Dog Training website and liked what I saw. I communicated with Jon via email and wanted to move forward with an initial assessment/meet up which included a 30 minute phone conversation before hand. What I appreciated is that Jon touched all the bases and makes sure that his services are needed before proceeding.We just finished our last training sesh out of 4, where we were meeting every two weeks. I am beyond grateful! Jon educated me and gave me the tools to succeed with my dog. I am over the top detail oriented, perfectionist, and over thinker! Jon answered my concerns and questions in between sessions- ask it and he knows an answer. He has years of diverse experience and is flexible with you and your dogs needs. Nothing but great improvements with my dogs behavior, happiness, and relationship with me.

When we adopted our dog, we quickly learned that he was reactive to other dogs and also was trying to assert his control through nipping and resource guarding.After interviewing a half dozen trainers and behaviorists, we ultimately chose Jonathon because of his clear-eyed assessment of our dog. He is not the type of trainer who will make you feel guilty or push you to make it work if your family and the dog are not a good match. We wanted to do everything we could to give this new dog a chance and are very glad we did. After about 5 sessions with Jonathon, we went from a dog with shelter trauma that we couldnt trust and was struggling to be domesticated to an having an obedient and sweet family dog.In addition to Jonathans talent as a dog behaviorist, he is punctual, communicative, and genuinely cares about the quality of the relationship between his two- and four- legged clients. He also wont make you sign up for more classes than you need, which makes his services reasonably priced compared to many others.You wont regret hiring Pack Leader!
