What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I BID JOBS FOR THE MOST PART , but do offer a Tough Economy Special- This is 3 hours of Labor for $130.00 Add $10.00 Gas fee for jobs over 15 miles from Ripon. This is for jobs that are straightforward, customer has already purchased materials needed to complete the work and I just come do the work we have gone over on the phone. Like with any remodeling, etc/ the amount of work that needs to be done can change once a wall is opened up, etc. / that will change the price and amount of time that will be spent on whatever it may be. Anytime I discover that there is going to be more work I will always bring it to the customers attention and discuss options moving forward. In these instances I will always come up with a fair price and solution to ensure the project moves forward.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to open a dialogue with the potential customer so that I can get as much information as I can about what they need done. This saves time for both parties and gets us that much closer to the job being completed as they envisioned. I like to share pictures so people get a better feel for what the finished product will be. I like to discuss prices and options so you know what you can expect for your $$$$.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
25 years of working in the trades as a Carpenter, but have experience in many other aspects of the Construction/Building Trades.
