Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am a very outgoing individual, so I love meeting new people as well as the challenge that being a handyman provides. You never know what you will run into until you are on the job site. It's a great feeling when I go home at night knowing that I was able to come up with a solution to fix a problem. I am also very visual, so building new fences, decks or installing, painting or anything else that is appeasing to the eye is always a great way to end my workday.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I started my business, I had recently gotten married and moved back to my hometown. I gave up a career in the Movie Industry after 25 years, so I had to re-invent myself and my career. I started helping out friends with items around their house, as that is what I knew. I was being referred to their friends and family and before I knew it, I had Steve's Handyman Service. I am proud to say that 90% of my business is based on referrals.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common types of jobs I do for my customers include crossing items off their "honey-do" lists. This can include minor repairs such as replacing caulk in their restrooms, installing new faucets or light switches, to more complicated items such as rebuilding decks, fences or even Murphy Beds. I also do quite of bit of interior painting and trim work.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice to a customer would be to ask friends and family if they can recommend someone. When I am looking for a provider, I like to read reviews on the company and also a very important item would be to see if they carry insurance. You just can't be too careful nowadays!
