Basic Tuning ($175) - 2hrs - This applies to pianos that are tuned on a regular basis and are within 10ç of standard pitch. Pitch Raise + Tuning ($225) - 2.5hrs - This applies to pianos that haven't been tuned in some time (usually over 2 years) and are ~10ç or more beyond standard pitch/A440. This involves going over every string an extra time (twice in total) to ensure the stability and longevity of the tuning. Key Cleaning ($25) - 15min Upright Full Cleaning ($75) - 30min - This involves vacuuming, cleaning of keys, cleaning of outer finish, adjusting of pedals, and any other basic adjustments that can be performed within the appointment. Grand Soundboard Cleaning ($100) - 1hr - Includes dusting of soundboard, vacuuming, wiping down of exterior, cleaning of keys.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to learn the story of each piano! How long has it belonged to you? Did you inherit it? How often do you play? Do you take lessons? When was the last time you had it tuned? Do you notice any strange sounds? (clicks, squeaks, etc.) What do you wish could be better?
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've studied and continue to study under a 2nd generation senior technician/tuner of 20+ years.
