Introduction: I loved playing competitive volleyball in high school and college, but walked away with a lot of injuries. After years of struggling with basic movement, I discovered that Pilates cured me of pain and strengthened my body. Motivated by this success, I began to develop a health and wellness practice that would enable me to share that personal success with others and improve their lives. I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2007 as a Board Certified Holistic Health Counselor. In 2008, I studied under Master Teacher Ellie Herman in Brooklyn, NY and was comprehensively certified in Pilates. For the last 8 years I have coached a wide range of clients in Brooklyn NY (the birthplace of Pilates). I specializes in post-surgery rehab, seniors, pre- and post-natal, teens, triathletes, postural alignment issues, strength and flexibility issues, and general fitness for healthy active adults.
My approach is one of balance: Fitness is a foundation that when aligned with our own everyday rhythms creates authentic health.
Pilates
Pilates builds strength and stability, tones, and lengthens your muscles, and can increase flexibility in a dynamic way. I have 8 years of experience teaching pilates in Brooklyn, NY, where I trained with Ellie Herman. My specializations include the following: therapeutic and post-surgery rehabilitation, pre and postnatal, neurological diseases, kyphosis, young athletes, and general fitness.
Nutrition counseling
I offer personalized guidance and assessment for weight loss. Focusing on deconstructing cravings and creating realistic meal planning while promoting balance and ease will produce lasting effects. My specializations are the following: weight loss, PCOS, postnatal weight loss, and teens.
Personal training
I organize smart, rigorous workouts which sculpt your body and help you reach your goals fast. Using TRX, aerobic conditioning, yoga, and good, old-fashioned calisthenics, we will bring about a leaner you. My specializations are the following: aerobic training, cardio pilates, TRX, and boot camp.
