I have been working with Katie for just about 3 months. She is the first professional who has been able to explain to me what to eat for high cholesterol, food allergies, etc. Katie makes it understandable and I have not felt the frustration I have had in the past when seeking help. Katie is accessible, motivating, knowledgeable and well-informed. She always has substitutions, recipes and words of encouragement. I don't feel judged as I have in the past with other nutrition/fitness professionals. If you are considering working with Katie, it is a no-brainer. You don't need to look any further.

I have been meeting with Katie now for about 8 months and couldn't be happier! I had seen a nutritionist in the past and knew it worked for me, so when the lbs came back on, I knew I needed to find someone. I can't tell you how many nutritionists I reached out to who either, never got back to me, had outrageous prices, or said they would only see me if I had a chronic illness.. So when I found Katie, and she responded quickly, had affordable and flexible pricing based on how many times a month I wanted a check in call, and was also a great person to talk to, I was sold!! I am currently down almost 20lbs (still 15 away from my goal) and I don't think I could have done it without her. Trust me, it wasn't easy for me and there were months where I barely lost any weight or even gained a few pounds and she was always there telling me to be patient, it takes time. I may have fought her out of frustration along the way but I'm so grateful she believed in me and didn't give up on me when I was about to give up on myself!! She is always very responsive when I have questions outside of our call time or when I post my updated weight or progress pictures. She always maintains a positive attitude (even when she tells me to lay off the Chick-fil-A!) and it really goes a long way throughout this journey. So if you're looking for someone to go on this weight loss adventure with you, she is a great choice!!

I’ve been working with Katie since mid October 2020. I found out I had high cholesterol at the young age of 32. I also found out I was 148lbs (only 5ft 4in) which is the heaviest I’ve ever been. I was scared and ready to make a long term change in my life to avoid medication. At first I was just interested in lowering cholesterol and losing weight because of the cholesterol. She listened to my needs during a free first consultation and then started sending me tailored meal plans. Cooking, and grocery shopping literally gave me anxiety. I lived off DoorDash previously with no knowledge of what a healthy diet was. I was always at two extremes; eating whatever I want including lots of carbs or cutting out carbs and sugar almost completely while thinking that losing weight with fried chicken was good for me cause my belly fat went away. When I created my first shopping list Katie edited it for me to make my first shopping experience easier so I could get the hang of it. I went shopping and was surprised to find that bread and even chocolate was in my diet! How can you have those in your diet and lose weight? But I put blind faith into her and did as the meal plans said. In the beginning keeping a food journal and staying in constant contact was imperative. Katie always responds within a couple hours and this is something you can’t get with a nutritionist through your insurance. She has been my teacher and cheerleader. I’m proud to say that I now feel confident about cooking and grocery shopping. I cooked the food and was so happy with how it taste and I have NEVER been hungry. As I said, bread, rice, chocolate, and even a certain type of baked good is allowed on my meal plan. I was hooked. After 6months of being with Katie I’m proud to report that shopping and cooking makes me much less anxious then when I first started and I now don’t need a specific meal plan because I am in routine of what it is I need to eat to fuel my body. My cholesterol is now in a normal range and as of this morning I weigh 125.6lbs; thats 22.4lbs of weight loss. I did this because of my own motivation coupled with the support of Katie. Making diet changes is scary. Food for me is an emotional attachment. When I want happy memories I eat food my mama used to cook for me as a little kid, and when something tragic happens I cling to food for comfort, or even after a long stressful day at work I just want to pig out on my couch and Netflix the night away to escape reality. Katie also has encouraged me to make exercise part of my lifestyle. She suggested workout apps and certain cardio exercises. I’ve done some here and there but nothing too consistent. I have realized I now have the interest but again the same fear of what should I do to obtain fitness results as I did when I needed to make a diet change. Katie is professional enough to recommend I seek outside help with my fitness because she knows I need extra support in that arena as well in order to continue my progression So as I find a trainer to help me, Katie will continue to support my eating and will make nutrition recommendations to fuel my body as I build muscle. Losing weight and toning starts with what you put into your body. If you don’t feed it properly you won’t see results and that is Katie’s specialty; the science of what to put into your body to make a long lasting lifestyle change to reach your health goals.
