About
We are trial lawyers.
We share a particular disdain for sitting in an office. We hate seeing defendants get bullied into taking unfair plea deals. We live for the opportunity to take the fight to the courtroom and argue before a jury.
Most lawyers these days work on volume -- signing up as many cases as possible and resolving them as quickly as they can in order to maximize profit. We personally abhor this business model.
We are selective with the cases we take on. We only accept a select few types of cases which align with our expertise, and we never take on more work than we can handle. This means that everything we do, we do extremely well. It also means that our clients always receive the personal and individualized attention they deserve and that their cases require.
If you want someone to be YOUR lawyer, and not just A lawyer, give us a call today. We'd love to be in your corner and fight hard for you every step of the way.
Our office is comprised strictly of trial lawyers. We thrive on trying cases before juries, presenting evidence, and arguing before a court. While most lawyers we know prefer the comfort of their office and try to settle cases as quickly as possible, we live for the fight. Only when we truly believe that a settlement is in our client’s best interests do we resort to plea negotiations. If you are facing criminal charges and want somebody who will actually fight for you, rather than just going through the motions and pleading you guilty, you need a trial lawyer on your side. Contact our office today to learn more about how we can fight for you.

David and Sean were incredibly helpful throughout my case. They were professional, supportive, and kept me informed every step of the way. Thanks to their hard work, my case was dropped. I truly appreciate everything they did for me and highly recommend them.

My family went through a shocking charge. My son was locked up and it seemed no one would help us because it was a juvenile case. I happened to stumble on Thumbtack after 2 unproductive meetings with two other lawyers. Mr Jones responded very quickly, he was compassionate and understanding. We hired him at the initial meeting. It was the greatest decision we made. Mr Jones and his team were on top of everything from day one. They stayed in communication throughout the entire process and never sold us false hope. We received the outcome we were hoping for and couldn’t be more than happy to have had Mr Jones and his team as our lawyer. Thank you so much!!!

From our first meeting, Sean explained everything to me in terms I could easily understand without any false promises of an outcome. Sean and his team were empathetic to my circumstances and fought hard to resolve the charges filed against me by my insurance company. Even though they tend to be trial focused attorneys who deal with the BIG cases in court, they respected my overall wishes to avoid taking anything to trial and settling otherwise, as I was already so emotionally drained from the whole ordeal that lasted nearly a year and a half prior to hiring them to represent me. I didnt want to risk elongating that with a trial. They understood my overall wishes of maintaining my innocence and clean background. When you are innocent in a fraudulent claim felony charge it is an incredibly scary predicament to be facing. When evidence, or lack of evidence as well as your words can still be manipulated or used against you. Unfortunately even if you know your truth, that doesn’t mean the court will always see it that way. This is evident in society and is shown in many historical outcomes. That was simply a risk I wanted to minimize as much as possible by hiring a well accredited attorney. In regarding fairness in cost, The 5,500 attorney flat fee I felt was worth paying when facing potential felony charges instead of getting free representation appointed to me due to the weight of these charges. I had never faced legal issues my entire life so I don’t have a comparative or knowledgeable foundation in what is considered a fairly priced attorney in relation to work specific costs, however I was at least given the option to go on a payment plan to pay the additional fees i owe on top of the 5,500 I have already paid. I will say it is absolutely disheartening to learn how the legal system truly works but that overall I am appreciative in the outcome my attorney got me so I can finally move forward from all of this. With that said, Sean and his team are a great choice for representation and can trust they have your best interest at heart.

Sean was truly a godsend during a time of need. I had run into some legal troubles and was in the process of talking to several attorneys for initial consultations, and Sean was by far the most helpful and ended up guiding me out of the situation without ever even asking for a retainer. When I called Sean and explained what had happened, he laid out what outcomes I was looking at and what steps I could do on my own to try to resolve the issues on my own. He even sent over some sample documents to help me, again without a retainer! I followed his advice and got my charges dropped the next day.
I’m not saying this is the result Sean will all his clients because I think my case was relatively straightforward. But Sean’s willingness to help and honesty in not requesting a retainer for a task he knows I could complete on my own go to show his integrity and that he has your back.
If I ever get into legal troubles again, God forbid, I would not think twice about calling Sean and retaining him as counsel.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Jones Trial Attorneys, we have a strong preference for flat rate billing as opposed to hourly fees. First, with a flat fee, the client knows exactly how much everything will cost. There's no question about how much money to set aside or how to budget for representation. Second, it means our clients don't have to worry about running up their tab if they want to call and chat about their case. When you hire us, you get us 24/7 for anything you need. We aim to be as straightforward and accessible as possible, and you can rest assured you're not being nickel-and-dimed.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before signing anything, we like to get to know our clients. Most importantly, we want to find out what their ideal resolution is and set up a game plan for how to get there.
Too often, lawyers use a one-size-fits-all approach and assume all clients want the same kind of resolution. Through extensive experience working with clients from all walks of life, we have learned that two different clients facing identical cases may want two completely different outcomes.
Issues like immigration consequences, financial hardship, career implications, and family impact can all influence a client's wants and needs when dealing with legal matters. We pride ourselves in taking the time to understand the true nature of every case and custom tailoring our representation to the individual client.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our lawyers have experience working for the Public Defender's office. Anyone with experience doing defense work for the government knows that it's intense, exhausting and grueling. That's where you see the most complex cases, deal with the most difficult clients, and handle the heaviest case loads. This experience also means we have had extensive interaction with every judge and prosecutor in the system, so we know how to tailor our style to achieve optimal results in a variety of settings.
Additionally, each of our lawyers has been trained in the art of trial advocacy -- from selecting a jury to preparing compelling closing arguments, we pride ourselves on dominating the courtroom in trial.
