I had a last-minute need for a divorce attorney because I initially thought I could settle out of court with my ex-wife's lawyer. I couldn't afford an attorney in the beginning, so I thought I could just work with my ex's attorney. Later I found out that my ex's attorney wasn't being truthful with me when it came to figuring out the appropriate child and spousal support. I realized I was being strong-armed. This was when I decided to look for my own attorney, and Sami Haddad came to the rescue. He was quick to point out the sneaky settings in the Dissomaster Guideline Calculator that the other attorney tried to pull off to make it look like I was earning a lot to warrant a combined child/spousal support amount of $3,000+ per month!
Sami is very level-headed, honest, easy to talk to, and great with numbers. He was (and still is) always available to answer questions I had/have. He ensured all of our bases were covered. In the end, he was able to get us to settle for a lot less in the terms that are acceptable for both sides, but also addressed the main issues that were of utmost importance to me: allowing my son to live in Tijuana with me when I have custody of him, increased in time-share with my son, exclusion of language in the settlement agreement that could be used for more support (i.e. tuition for private school) regardless of my employment status. Very happy with the results. Not only have I found a great lawyer, but I consider Mr. Haddad a good friend as well.
