FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My regular hourly rate is currently $375 but I do offer discounts to active-duty, veterans, military spouses, & first responders.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A potential client will schedule a free phone or virtual consultation via our website, we chat about the case to see if the potential client believes it would be a good fit/if I can help, and if the client decides to hire our firm, we get payment handled and the contract signed - all electronically!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Family Law Specialist. Why choose a Certified Family Law Specialist? To become a Certified Family Law Specialist, or CFLS, an attorney (someone who has already taken and passed the bar exam) has to take and pass an exam specific to Family Law that tests the attorney's knowledge of the subject, ranging from the most common to the most rare of topics within Family Law. In order to be able to become a CFLS, an attorney not only needs to have been practicing law for at least 5 years but must also have spent a majority of that time focusing on Family Law. Being a CFLS requires an attorney to stay up to date on legal developments in Family Law as a CFLS is required to complete more legal education courses than a non-CFLS and the educational courses must be specific to Family Law - a requirement that doesn't exist for other attorneys. While hiring any attorney is certainly an investment, by hiring a CFLS, you are ensuring that you're investing in an attorney who has invested their time, money, and career to the practice of Family Law.
