The work Johnny performed for us was quite demanding. He was replacing slate tiles on a 2nd story deck located over our sitting room. We had experienced a leak that occurred only after multiple days of rain which we all know is rare in San Diego. He not only supplied an estimate but many possible solutions differing in time and material costs and finally a detailed and understandable solution, including a graphic drawing, that we agreed to. The work was performed in a timely and efficient manner all the time cordially dealing with my oversight, actually company, and the schedule of a lady living in our house at this time. During my career I built over 150,000 sq ft of commercial buildings, large and small, and must say that Johnny certainly performed equal to or better than the contractors I have come in to contact with. Johnny did a full shower remodel in our home. He was very honest upfront and professional. His work was extremely thorough and meticulous. You will also never be in the dark about what's going on with your project, he loves to explain every step of the way so there are no unanswered questions. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing is not standard, and discussed at the time of inspection of work to be performed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?A typical process would be to first contacted by a potential customer. With that communication first established, I always like the customer to send email and provide a scope of work or list of to-do items. If they're capable, I also ask for any pictures they can provide. At that point, we'd then schedule an appointment for a site visit, and inspect the work to be performed. Once onsite, I can provide more information and usually leave with more pictures and a promise to return an estimate of cost. If they approve, work is started at our earliest convenience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My experience, is from working construction while I was in high-school on weekends. It grew to 40hr work weeks after graduation, but I soon started work for AT&T and became an I.T. Technician. My worldly father taught me a lot growing up, and I used that on a daily basis. So much so, that I was the go to guy in my family for repairing things throughout my career. Still to this day, it's a large list, yet we get everyone taken care of in due time.
