What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing defends on the complexity of the case and every case is different. Typically I charge a flat fee which is paid at the beginning of the case.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I have a short telephone call with a potential client. I'll gather some basic information and then schedule a free in person interview at one of my offices. Client will come to my office and we will discuss the case in more detail. If we both agree that I'll defend the case we will sign a contract and I'll get paid with a check, credit card or cash.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a board certified specialist in criminal law by the State Bar of California. Only 1% of attorneys in California have this designation.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
In law school I realized that I have a passion for defending criminal cases.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All types from violent crimes to white collar crimes.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I was defending a young man who was charged with three counts of attempted murder. I was able to get all charges dropped.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Only hire someone who is a certified specialist in criminal law. Look for other credentials such as being rated Superb by Avvo.com and being selected as a Superlawyer.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What is their budget for the case.
