What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I share $45 for overnight stays and the price is negotiable if the stays are longer or there are several pets coming. I treat visiting let's like my own and I make sure they are treated like mine.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to find out what the customers needs are so I can make sure I can meet them. A phone or email introduction followed by a phone conversation or a meet up if the pet will stay with me for an extended period of time. This decreases anxiety when a pet is left with a stranger.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been taking care of dogs my entire life and have owned Doggy Walk and Watch for years.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love dogs and when I reached my first dog, shampoo I realized I wanted to spend more time with him and his kind so I started dog walking and sitting until it became a business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Anything from working couples to older families unable to walk and care for their pets as they would like to, to just busy parents who needed their furry child to have some extra exercise.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone you feel loved and cares for your pet the way you do. Only by doing this will you ensure your let is happy while you're away.
