In our lessons you will:
1) have fun playing flute, where we can work together to find and play music that interests you!
2) confidently prepare for college auditions/local orchestra auditions.
3) get help on your band music, or band audition materials so you can get into that top band at your school.
4) learn basic/advanced music theory and music history, as we delve deeper into our music.
5) develop beautiful tone and effortless technique on the instrument.
6) perform solo/duet repertoire from the vast flute literature.
7) practice both performing and speaking in front of an audience.
8) develop healthy, routine habits through practicing for our lessons that you can apply to every part of your life.
I am a graduate of my Masters in Flute Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The flute has been a part of my life since my early grade school days, and am so excited to share my love for this instrument, my love for music, with you. I like to keep my lessons fresh and exciting but also challenging! I do have a curriculum that I do follow, but of course, catering to your goals and needs is of the utmost importance.
