- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every project is different, and I need to fully understand the entirety of the project before being able to price it. Instead of stabbing in the dark, I have my clients fill out a thorough questionnaire to determine the specific objectives of the project and what work will need to be done.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process starts with getting to know the client and their business through an in-depth questionnaire which helps to define clear, objective goals that will inform the project. From there, we discuss specific areas in more detail before diving into my own personal research of the business, the market, competitor analysis, etc. After conducting my own research, I begin a brainstorm phase where all ideas are explored and sketched out with pencil. I work to pinpoint only the most appropriate and effective concepts before presenting to the client. The client and I decide on one concept before exploring it fully and creating the brandmark (logo). Once the artwork is approved, I expand and create all the necessary visual elements, style guide, and walk the client through implementation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I constantly take courses in specific areas of my field that I'm working on improving as well as staying up to date with the latest trends and styles through industry-specific publications.
