Introduction: Mise En Place (meez ahn plahs) is a professional kitchen term which means "everything in its place." Chefs need to "have their Mise en place" in order to cook successfully no matter if it's a backyard BBQ or a 6 course meal. We cook for you just like we would for our own families, and we love what we do. We also place the highest priority on safety. All chefs are registered, licensed and insured with the state of California per the Department of Public Health laws. Our chefs have worked in some of the top restaurants in the country. Personal Chef

Chef Renee did a fantastic job for my wife’s birthday. She made Chinese food for us and it was a hit amongst everyone. I really appreciated that she went out of her way to get halal meat for us. She also took the time to pack the meals for each person after the party. Highly recommend Mise En Place for your next party.

We had the brilliant idea of getting a personal chef to prepare a dinner for my sister in law’s birthday but had no idea how to execute on it. Enter Mise En Place....what a great find that was. From start to finish, our experience was outstanding. Starting with our initial consultation with Dan, the owner, who was very accommodating in assisting us with choosing the menu to the day of with Chef Andrew and Victor, who prepared a 5 star dinner for us that was unforgettable. Chef Andrew clearly has a passion for cooking and attention to detail that shows through every dish. The goal of the evening was to make my sister in law feel very special and celebrated for her birthday...and because of the meal prepared by Chef Andrew and Victor, that goal was accomplished. We would highly recommend Mise en Place!

Superb. Not only the elegant meal, but brilliant in the way in the chef communicates with the client. I appreciated that I was involved in every decision (this is what I wanted). Large plated dinner party for 20 guests. Chef accommodated every dietary restriction. What makes Mise En Place great is not just how delicious and innovative the food is, but how they really love to cook for people. They made it fun. It was an honor to work with this crew of chefs. Would hire again in a heartbeat.

Wedding and Event Catering

Where to even begin! With constant changes to our original wedding plans due to Covid, we finalized the details about a month before our wedding date. We had no caterers, so I quickly searched Thumbtack for a team to prepare a fresh sit-down meal for about 30 guests. So glad Mise En Place was available. Dan, Andrew and the team were so amazing to work with. They made my wedding very special by going above and beyond even in the 100 degree, smokey weather. The food tasted great, and everyone was easy to work with. My go-to for future events now! Highly recommend Mise En Place - you won’t be disappointed.

    Pricing ranges anywhere from $100 - $140 per person. We can offer lower than $100 per person, but it will depend on the size of your group and the type of food you'd like.

    We start by settling on a date and time. Next, customers select menu items from out website or together we customize a menu based off of preferences and budget.
