I met Dennis for a remodeling project in Los Altos Hills and he showed up on time, with a great reasonable quote. I realized my project was more complexe that I had hoped at the start and I decided to go with a bigger firm with experience with the town, hence the 4 stars.Nov 30, 2017Verified
We have a wonderful experience with Dennis. He is very professional and experienced. He is very punctual and works according to time he promises. He also helped us in the whole procedure as we were doing all this first time. The quote he worked with is very reasonable, actually it is the best we got among all. It is really a good experience for us.Nov 12, 2017VerifiedWahler Design Group Ltd.'s reply
Thank you Sidra for the review, this can help my business in the future Dennis
Dennis is very prompt & courteous. If he continues to perform this way till the drawings are submitted & approved by the City, I'll give him a 5 star rating and recommend him to others. So far 5 STARSSep 11, 2017VerifiedWahler Design Group Ltd.'s reply

Dennis came up with two great design options for us that meet our budget at a reasonable design cost. He went thru the design, city and construction process with us so we know what to expect. We recommend him for hire!
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?10% of construction cost for building projects or $300 to $500 per drawing sheets plus copy cost, and Title 24 energy. If you want me to pull the city permits as your agents it runs $200 per hour. If structural engineering is required, their office will bill you direct. The Landscape Design fees rum between $1200 to $6500 I need to see the site and what they want in their project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?(1). Go to the Clients home or project site for Initial Consultation. (2) I have a list of question for the client, Site Analysis take measurements and photographs (3) Sign a contract, get a retainer/deposit, let them know the time line for completion of the drawings.(4) Preliminary Plan, review the drawings with the client and make any changes they want (5) If Title 24 or Structural engineering are required, notified my group that work is coming to them and set up a schedule.(6)..Keep the client informed once a week about the progress on the design. (7).When every thing is ready, I review the drawings with the client one last time, and have them sign off on the design and rreceive my finial payment.(8). Gave them a list of contractors I have work with if they do not have any. They can contact them and get the permit process going with the city building department if required. Landscape projects much the same thing expect there is usually no permit process, completion for these projects runs 5 to 7 works days unless we are talking water project or outside kitchens with gas usage which take longer or very large properties.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?BS Engineering, Master of Business Administration. Membership in the following:The American Institute of Building Design- (AIBD) Professional Certification, The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) - Design Certification, California License General Contractor, and Landscape Contractor both license in-active. Association of Professional Landscape Designers,(APLD), California Landscape Contractor Association, (CLCA).Holder of Community College Teaching Certifications in both Architecture and Business, and 30 years of work experience.
