About
------------------------------ What I Do ------------------------------
I use functional nutrition & lifestyle changes to achieve broad-spectrum health by enabling the body to heal itself. I guide my clients to understand the cause: environment, diet, lifestyle, and foreign contaminants.
------------------------------ My Story ------------------------------
My journey started with overwhelming illness that modern day medicine couldn't rectify. My response was not to give up, but to get to the root cause in the age of information.
I followed various practitioners and their ideas, and then I realized that I wanted to get to the root of where their statements were coming from. In 2015 I learned to read bland epidemiology studies by wiring my ADD/ADHD to a point of obsession, and eventually amassed so much information from them that I overcame my health burdens.
I was systemically ridden with Candida yeast, heavy metal toxicity, various mold genera, and prenatal Lyme disease. I had lived a widely sedentary clinically depressed and chronically anxious life as a boy. I struggled with eye contact, and couldn't function without caffeine. I was highly endocrine disrupted and couldn't get into a normal relationship of any kind. When I was 17 I got to the peak of my depression and was thinking of ways that I could kill myself.
By 18 I dived into my first job at Starbucks, I failed in the first 6 months and was about to be fired. I turned that around and became Partner of the Quarter within my district and was the only person to achieve the Coffee Master title with my District Manager of the time. I learned then that I was a survivor; I never looked back.
3 years into the role, my depression and anxiety still ensued, and I left the company to move to South Lake Tahoe where I became the college mascot and a Host for Hard Rock Cafe. I met a gal, I fell really hard for her and hit my face on the pavement (not literally). I then began to question the 'why,' and looked to my health.
I discovered that I had a particular skin issue that could be connected to yeast pathogenesis (yeast-mediated disease). The yeasts I found ailing me were Candida and Malassezia, so I went hard into changing my diet, sending in beneficial bacteria (probiotics), and cleansing the fungi with natural fruit seed extracts. Within three days I had offloaded a huge colony of biofilm, and three days more I began to change. I wasn't waking up depressed, nor was I so anxious and reliant on caffeine to socialize. I stopped getting sick several times a year, my joint pain went away, and my skin conditions receded over a period of a few more weeks.
This is when 2015 hit and I started to obsess about the intricate details to the causes within my body. I started to really 'wake up' and see what was going on inside of me, and connect the dots to the world around me. So I dropped out of my two years at college in pursuit of becoming a Natural Doctor because I felt that I can just teach myself and that I didn't want to be a part of the system.
I have since read at least one epidemiological study a day in tandem with obsessing over the conditions of others to boost my performance. I have accumulated more than 2,000 hours at study of disease and the root causes. In 2021 I read over 750 studies, and this doesn't include the people I supported.

I’d highly recommend Asa to anyone who is ready to take control of their health and stick to it. Unfortunately, it will come at the price of never being able to see food, gut health, or chronic illness, in any capacity, the same way ever again. This is something I’m still trying to come to terms with.
However, for all of my life I believed that illness or disease was something that just happened. You roll the genetic lottery and just hope to God you’re the lucky one. I come from a family where both of my parents have autoimmune diseases, so obviously I was destined for greatness from the start. It wasn’t until I started talking with Asa and following what protocols he applied for his own health (albeit loosely in some respects, I probably eat more carbs still than he would like) that I began to learn and understand that we have been programmed by a for-profit industry for decades to believe that chronic illness just happens. You’re a product of your genes and that’s all there is to it. And better yet, they have a drug they can sell you that will kind of make you feel ok, but also cause several other things that you will need more of their drugs for.
In the short time I’ve worked with Asa I’ve had an almost complete remission of my unexplained neurological symptoms, a huge improvement in my digestion (I definitely have fungal/parasites that still need to be addressed), and a severe drop off of anxiety. I have more energy, my joints don’t hurt anymore, my horrible vericose veins aren’t causing me pain anymore, my mental state is changing and I am less reactive. There is nothing more empowering then knowing you have full control of your health, and I think too many people have left that thinking up to their doctors and they are paying severely for it. It took a while of discomfort to get through to what I consider this first “level” of healing. I won’t say I felt great right away, it’s hard, and requires much trial and error. But I am already reaping the benefits! I’m hoping I can stick on this path and continue to improve my health with the help of Asa and further distance myself from western medicine.
