Read reviews that mention:
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is competitive for the market place. I offer a discount on a package of 12 or more lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For guitar lessons, the process is we choose a day and time that works for both of us and we set up the first lesson. If you’re a beginner, I’ll teach you the string names, how to tune and get you going on easy songs. I tailor the lessons to what styles and songs you want to learn. If you’d like to learn how to read music, I can help you with that too. For hiring me Groovy Judy as an entertainer, we negotiate the date, time, location and rate. The we fill out a simple agreement confirming the details.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BS degree in communications from SFSU, college courses included music theory and composition, piano and sight singing. 15 years as a private music instructor, 6 as a group lesson teacher, City of San Carlos, 8 as a group lesson teacher, city of San Mateo. I’ve also taught rock band Summer Camps for DayJams and BandWorks and currently do so at Crystal Springs Uplands School in Hillsborough. As a performer, I’ve been performing around the Greater San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years at Summer Concerts, Festivals, Fairs, weddings, birthday parties, nightclubs, restaurants, churches and cafes. I perform solo, as a duet, trio, quartet or a quintet.
