About
Visit the new Berkeley Bowl West Marketplace in Berkeley to see 107 permanently installed oil paintings, as well as a large viewer interactive painting. My Noah's Ark mural for the Berkeley Jewish Community Center on Rose and Walnut streets is also one of several public works commissions in the Bay Area. Largest of these public commissions is the life's work commemorative mural for Dr. Linus Pauling for the City of Palo Alto. I used my energy symbol language to describe his life's work and ideas.
Painting and writing together make my feeling of fulfillment complete. Painting expresses deep feelings that have no words. Writing allows me to be highly specific in the form of novels, spiritual philosophy books and in expression of ideas that are specific and detailed.
Teaching painting allows me to pass on all that has been given to me in the form of teachings and personal insights learned from a lifetime of painting in oils on canvas.

Ross quickly helped find the inner creativity in me in oil painting - and did it in a way that made me feel like painting was extension of who I am. He is an exceptional, one of a kind teacher that has the true soul of an artist.

Ross is a pleasure to have for a painting teacher. He has the ability
to look at my work and see what my strengths are and what I may
need to improve. His philosophy towards painting/art is extremely
helpful in continuing my vision of the kind of art I wish to do. Who Ross is as a person helps me express best who I am. (Very rare in a
teacher. No one would ever say he held them back or wouldn't allow their vision.)

Ross is awesome! I absolutely LOVE going to our painting class on Fridays. He is more than a painter, he is a master of his craft. He gave me the confidence to recognize my artistic talents, which was a step towards finding myself.
Also, he has inspired me to shine bright with my own talents. In addition to being a painter, he is an inventor, an author and a wonderful asset to society.
I am grateful for our time together and, while he becomes more celebrated for his contributions to humanity, I feel fortunate to be able to learn under his guidance. Thank you, Ross!

Ross was a wonderful intuitive teacher, who was able to teach me theory and techniques without firing up my left-side, critical brain. I enjoyed his presence and support, canvas after canvas. I gained a sense of my own artistic voice and style--something I never had a feel for before.
