- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a pricing sheet which we will share with our clients based on their event. Price is determined upon location, size of the band they are requesting. Usually the full band for the Groove Doctors is 8 performers and 2 sound techs. To bring in our entire 8 piece band it is a 3 hour performance minimum. $1800 minimum locally. For corporate functions and weddings the pricing is anywhere from $1,800 to $5,500. If the client wants a duo or smaller band, pricing is on case by case basis. The Groove Doctors actually charge LESS than most professional wedding/corporate variety bands because we do not book through an agency. We book DIRECTLY with the client and can negotiate the price based upon their budget. We can accommodate a smaller jazz band or classic rock band or a larger band with one female vocalist. The full band is 8 pieces with 2 females vocalists and a horn section.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We find out when and where the venue is and how many attendees are anticipated. What type of event is it? We then calculate the cost and we bring the sound and lights as well and manage special requests. We like the client to come and see a live performance. I then generate a professional contract, contact the venue and provide Liability Insurance information. I work with the client and the venue until the event is over.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The experience of all members totals over 150 years of performing experience. All of the members of the Groove Doctors have been performing for many years. Several members are music teachers as well. The Doctors have been performing as a band since 2000.
