I have known Joy since I moved to California in 2006. She turned me from a horse loving girl to a capable rider that now works with green horses and teaches riding lessons. She has trained every horse that I have owned starting with a hot 5 year old Quarter horse mare that had never been handled. She turned her into a fun, responsive, people loving mare that has taught many beginners how to ride. She then turned my cute 3 year old rowdy Quarter colt into a mannered and quiet gentleman that kids learned to ride on. Next came a Thoroughbred gelding off the track. After a lay up he became dangerous and bucked me off on a regular basis. I was told by numerous people to put him down. When I called her for help, the first thing she said was " problem horses, my favorite". Within no time he became quiet and safe. Last came a green broke 5 year old Friesian cross that had an abusive past as we soon discovered. She spent many days trying to figure him out coming up with new tricks to get him to respond to her willingly. Needless to say he was very stubborn and difficult to handle, and once again I was told to put him down and that he had a neurological problem. She never gave up and now he is a quiet, trusting mount with a wonderful loving disposition. I've even thrown my beginner friends on him and he has been exceptional with them. As much as I love to learn from every horse person that I meet, she is always the one that I look to for advice regarding my horses health, nutrition, training and needs. The most valuable thing that she has taught me is to have a positive attitude towards every horse and that a horse is capable of anything even if their conformation is considered poor or if they have a bad attitude. She tailors her training to each individual horse to help them achieve their best and most importantly enjoy doing their job. She makes sure to keep you involved so that you and your horse become a fine-tuned team that is continually growing and improving. I knew I would love Joy from the moment I met her and now I can safely say that she will never be rid of me. I look forward to everything else that I will learn from her for years to come. I am thankful to this day that she has been the one to mold my horse experiences and knowledge.

I was looking for a professional Morgan horse trainer when I purchased a three year old morgan mare in 2006. I wanted a trainer who knew Morgans and would allow me to be part of the mare's training. I found that in Joy Weber and Weber Training stables. Venus had a lot of motion when I purchased her, but I wanted a Western Pleasure Show horse. Joy, took on the project with expertise, patience, diligence, and the love, understanding and respect I was looking for. Joy welcomed Venus and me into her world of horse training. I was allowed to watch and participate as often as I liked or wanted to. She not only trained the horse, but she trained me to be able to work with, ride and show my own horse. Weber Training Stables is a wonderful experience for any horse and rider. Joy specializes in diversity for the horse and rider and her techniques for training both are well detailed, yet simple to understand and apply. When I first met Joy, I was not a confident rider, having never had a lesson in my 50 some years. Now, through Joy's tutulage I am riding every discipline and types of horses, from green broke to accomplished Show Horses. Weber Training Stables welcomes every horse and rider into their family, whether they are there for riding lessons, training, boarding or breeding purposes. Joy, her family and her staff are all professional in their demeanor, friendly in their attitudes and delightful to be around. Joy and her staff treat every horse on the ranch as if they were their own, the horses health and welfare being of primary concern. They all go above and beyond in their efforts to provide a safe, secure, enjoyable experience for horse and rider. We are now moving Venus from a Western Pleasure horse into the Hunt Seat discipline and as always, Joy has accomplished this task, with all her diligence and expertise. I look forward to a long and successful relationship with Joy and Weber Training Stables as I feel they are the Training facility every horse and rider needs and wants for an excellent horse experience.

Joy Weber is an excellent trainer for horse and rider. She explains concepts well, is calm and patient, and has a wonderful rapport with the horses. I would be boarding and training with her if I lived closer. Joy has a wealth of knowledge she has garnered from her years of experience in horses and would beneficial to any rider and horse relationship. The horses are well cared for and are in excellent shape under her care with clean stalls. The facility and arena are amazing.

Joy trained my horse Javier. She did a great job of teaching to the individual, and he has not forgotten anything! He is safe, and happy because she did not make him sour on training. He loves learning new things and I think that is because Joy gave him such a good start!
