FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The average teacher charges a dollar per minute. I do the same. However, I offer a 40 minute lesson instead of a 30 or 60 minute lesson. My experience has taught me that a 30 minute lesson is too rushed...and a 60 minute lesson covers too much material.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For new students, I offer a FREE no-obligation consultation. It's our first meeting. It's not a lesson. It is a chance to meet to see if we are a good fit. I answer any questions the student might have...and I learn about the direction the student wants to go.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied numerous guitar teaching methods. I've also consulted with other successful teachers to learn how they teach. However, life experience has been my greatest teacher. I have taught thousands of lessons for over 20 years. I've also performed with countless other musicians and have performed most styles. Teaching others has been my best teacher.
