Introduction: Sorry, I'm temporarily unavailable to take on new students in 2020 due to COVID and a relocation. I'm very skilled at helping and inspiring students launch themselves as successful artists. I love teaching and sharing my art skills and knowledge about art with students of all ages. I find it very rewarding to help students gain confidence with art and explore their creativity.

Susan is a lovely and kind presence, and a wonderful teacher. She painted with my daughter on weekends at our home and provided a fantastic foundation of skills and ways of seeing upon which my daughter continues to practice her art.

I have been her student for a number of years. She is a first rate artist and teacher, and it is a pleasure to work on drawing or painting with her. She is helpful without spoon feeding the student and is blessed with a temperament suited for teaching all ages.

I have been working with Susan as my art teacher and mentor for over 3 years and she has been beyond fantastic. She has the ability to see through her students eye and pallet and help them achieve the success they desire.

Not only is Susan a talented artist, she's a great teacher, too. I took several private classes with her. She was clear in her instruction, thoughtful in feedback and overall very supportive. She gave me a a much needed boost of confidence to pick up the brush again and paint.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've always loved painting, but I started teaching when a visitor from Switzerland saw my work in a gallery and requested lessons. It was such a rewarding experience I've continued teaching ever since.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you've always wanted to learn more about painting or drawing, or if you want your children to learn about art, private art lessons are a great choice.
