FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All in person estimates are free unless there is an special situation involving a troubleshoot that could be resolved while on site. The work you require may not fit neatly into one of the listings, and I have a system for that based on hours and materials, or a flat rate, whichever one makes more sense to us both. When work is agreed upon and begins, I always start with a service charge of a two hour minimum of $150. I some cases I may be able to resolve the issue within the first 30 minutes. I charge an absolute minimum of $100 to cover time and vehicle costs. In the case of circuit breaker panel replacement: If you need a METER MAIN PANEL replaced, I require the home owner provide a permit for the service change. This can be purchased at your local city or county permitting office. Many electrical contractors will do this for you. You may want to consider a quote from a company that offers this service first before contacting my company.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For jobs that can be completed within a week: On site estimate and proposal given Proposal and payment schedule accepted Materials purchased and work begins on date scheduled Work is completed on or before schedule Should other considerations arise during work, a renegotiation of money and materials may change the prior agreement Updated proposal accepted, if required Work is completed For larger jobs that require ongoing planning / maintenance: Same as above with added progress payment schedule for labor and material expenses
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed a five year training course an have been working in the field as a Journeyman electrician for over 12 years. I also have a State Certification in California for General Electrician. I regret that I am not at liberty to list this as a license on this site
