FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I often run promotions, but may not advertise on Thumbtack. I post promotion advertising on Facebook and Instagram. The process for ordering a painting is done through my website at Sweetpeaportraitpainting.com This is where you will upload a photograph, and go through the payment process, including entering in the promo code. Prices for a single person painting start at $400. (Shipping and handling is not included)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I work with a client, I start out by asking a few questions. I paint from photographs, and the photograph needs to be clear, so I can see the facial features. I ask how many people will be in the portrait to determine the price. I ask if the customer prefers to have the painting framed, or on stretch canvas, (also to determine the price). My business handles matted framing with portrait sizes of: 8 x 10 11 x 14 16 x 20 Once these questions are answered, I can accurately quote the portrait. If the quote is approved, I will ask the customer to go to my website to upload a photo, choose a frame option, and complete the payment process. The portrait will take one week, to three weeks depending on if I have other paintings in process. When the painting is complete, I will notify the customer, and send a photo to be approved. Then, send it to the address that they provided on my website. The painting will arrive at their house, wrapped and securely packaged.
