I'm back on Thumbtack after several years. I have recently relocated to the Foothills outside of Placerville in the Somerset /fair play area.
I specialize in custom surface restoration, high-end repainting, and quality prep work. I have had my contracting license since 2010 and have an excellent portfolio and client references. I do my best work possible on every job while maintaining flexibility to meet each projects individual specifications and budget.
I take great pride in my attention to detail, patience with each job, and ability to connect and listen to my clients, making sure they are happy with the finished product. I enjoy bringing new life to an old building or giving a fresh custom look to any project.

Blair was great! We did a kitchen remodel and he worked with the ever changing schedule of the other contractors. He did a beautiful job painting our old kitchen cabinets, taking great care to not get any paint where it did not belong. He even came back on a Saturday to attach new hinges (that were delayed in shipping) to the cabinets and rehang them. Blair is our person for any painting needs!!!!

Blair was a great person to hire for painting our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. He was responsive to every detail of the project and was always on time and always pleasant to work with. He is a true craftsman and multi-tasker, and he takes pride in the quality of whatever job he is working on. He cleans up each day, and he does what he promises without complaining. Our 21-year-old cabinets look brand new and are now complete with hinges and handles. Our kitchen has a fresh coat of paint, along with a few doors. We love the outcome of this project and appreciate the reasonable price Blair offered. We will use Blair Painting in the future and would highly recommend him for any painting project.

Blair was excellent. He showed up on time every day, and was very professional. He painted our kitchen cabinets and stair railing, and they both turned out amazing. He was even great with our dogs. We highly recommend him.

Blair did such an amazing job painting two interior rooms for us. He was very punctual with his response after I submitted a request for a painter through Thumbtack. He responded within about 20 minutes. His price was very reasonable and was great in working with our schedule. We had a couple of timing conflicts on our end and he was nothing but flexible with us which was great! Blair even touched up some paint from the previous paint job, which was not even part of our request. I would highly recommend Blair Rowland Painting for any paint job!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Time and materials- Complex jobs with unknown details and completion time would be best done on a time and materials basis. The cost is $35 to $40 an hour depending on the project, plus materials.
Bids- straight forward project bids will be custom tailored to meet each projects specifications.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to look at the project a talk to the client in person if possible to get a crystal clear understanding of what is needed. I will go over options with the client to get the best outcome that fits the budget. I will then write a contract that explains each step of the job in detail to ensure the customer knows exactly what to expect. Once the contract is signed and the job is started I will keep the customer informed on the progress until the project is completed to meet their standards.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
over 20 years experience. 8 years experience on a hometown painting crew offering: pressure washing, paint spraying, prep work, drywall repair, stucco repair, minor carpentry and structural repair, mold and mildew removal, brush and rolling, masking, and any other paint related service.
Additional years self employed contracting since 2010 with 2 years sub-contracting with a larger painting company in the Sacramento area.
