I'm a first time dog owner and have been working with Nate for help with my young Bernese Mountain Dog/Great Pyrenees puppy.
When I first hired Nate, my puppy was a lot to manage and I didn't think I'd be capable of training her properly. As a larger dog breed, there were concerns around safety of others so training was a MAJOR priority.
After even one session in person I noticed a tremendous difference in her behavior. I noticed I was actually enjoying having her as my puppy vs. before when I would dread having to figure out how to manage her behavior.
After four sessions, my puppy is almost a different dog. She's more responsive to me, has stopped exhibiting bad behaviors and is a joy to go on a walk with. Every tip he's given me has worked with my dog.
Non treat-based training has so many benefits and Nate is truly the expert. He's been able to answer any question I have around my dog and is always available if I need advice. He's extremely easy to engage with and works around your schedule and lifestyle.
If you're considering a dogtrainer I STRONGLY urge you to hire Nate even for a few sessions!! You'll notice the difference with your dog and develop skills as a dog owner that will last.

My husband and I spent my first session with Nate of Sticks and Bones a little skeptical that it would help our Indy much. She’s a wonderful dog but agresses when I walk her. I didn’t realize I and my husband were being manipulated and we did everything on her timeline. Since Nate explained how to be alphas and do everything on our terms, life at home has been so different. She is definitely not top dog anymore. I’ve tried walking her daily, and this is a work in progress, but I think our next session with Nate will also reveal new strategies for correcting Indy’s aggressive behaviors when she encounters distractions.

my pricing is fair and competitive.
on the first training if the client has more than one dog I do not charge for the extra dog.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to have a phone consultation before working with a new client so that I can answer any questions they might have and explain my process and methods to them so they know what to expect when I arrive

i finished a one year course and became a certified dog trainer.
I have worked with many different dogs and people since that time.
