Great musician. His band livened up our party. I was asked by multiple attendees where did you find this group from.
I have been taking classical piano lessons with Mrs. Matoush for 2 years now and am delighted with my progress. Toby is an excellent teacher with an unmatched passion for classical music. I have progressed at a rapid rate in spite of not having a great deal of time to practice daily. Toby really knows how to motivate and inspire her students to play and integrates music theory with a nice blend of classical music songs so that her students learn the fundamentals, but also enjoy playing classical songs very quickly. She is fantastic at picking the most appropriate music books. Hearing her play her beautiful original compositions is such an inspiration that I have decided to also learn songwriting from her. Toby and her band are working on making a YouTube video of one of her compositions and I can't wait to hear and see it. My daughter is now studying with her as well as she has grown to love hearing classical music too and wants to study rock piano with Toby too.
My son and his classmate took saxophone lessons with Andrew to be ready for Fall Band in 5th grade. He is straight forward and they learned fast from him. I highly recommend him.
I'm a beginner to guitar, having played a little piano and drums before. Been working with Chris for a few weeks now and it has been a blast. He's a talented musician who is connected to the music scene. I wanted a guitar teacher who was connected to the local music scene, and so I've really enjoyed working with Chris and even going to see his band perform. I also love how Chris walks through songs and is able to write out the tabs and chords on the fly, and then on top of that show me multiple ways of playing the same song. Highly recommend.
I used to play in band as a kid, but I never explored singing very much. I wanted to try something new and was curious to know if I was any good. Ashten has started from the very beginning with me. I never knew how much went into singing before I took lessons with her. And she's been patient teaching me all of the concepts and works at my pace. I am really enjoying studying the voice and never knew how possible it is to become a better singer if you use the right tools. I'm definitely seeing and hearing very positive results.
I am a bass player who has always played guitar here and there but nothing too serious, and about a year ago decided I really want to know the fundשmentals of guitar. A friend recommended Jacob Light, whom I've heard play before in local bands, and I decided to take the chance. I wasn't dissapointed to say the least. Jacob is a really down to earth guy who immediately understood my musical style and focused mainly on what I wanted to know, unlike other teachers I've had experience with. Even so, he knew what subjects to insist I learn, like improvisation. and scales. all this was done in a friendly, calm, cool yet persistent atmosphere which is just the right blend for learning, in my opinion.Soon enough I started feeling I really understand guitar, and this new kno'ledge even helped me with my bass guitar playing. Ive been taking guitar lessons with Jacon for 6 months and the only downdise I can think of is the fact he moved to California, otherwise I would have still take lessons from him, without a doubt.
My 11 year old son and now my 8 year old son have been taking guitar lessons with Judy, and really enjoy them. Judy is patient, flexible and fun. Highly recommended.
Patient, professional, and knows his stuff. What else do you want in a guitar teacher?
Best Experience Ever! I'm beyond pleased with the level of professionalism, creativity and quality of music they performed at my wedding. All my guest were so impressed, we danced all night. They were so fun, engaging and had music for everyone. I would highly reccomend Retro Jukebox band, they made my day Amazing!
Joe and J Silverheels were an awesome cover band! They tailored my wish list as requested and all four musicians had amazing talent. The energy was perfect as they engaged the audience throughout the performance. It was an intimate urban outdoor setting, they were able to adjust the sound level accordingly and brought some cool lighting to spice things up just that much more. The dance floor opened up quickly and it was a great synergy. I would not hesitate to recommend this band; especially if you want to mix in some quality jazz with a wide selection of rock and roll. Last but not least, they play a mean harmonica plus tenor and alto saxophones to boot!!
TheTimebandits are the best band around!! We have hired them for our crab feed for 13 years and plan on continuing to hire them. They have a following of their own so that helps your event to be successful too.
I took lessons with Angel for a year in 2010 in Los Angeles, He was recommended to me by a friend. I hired him to get ready for an audition for a band I wanted to be a part of, I didn’t get in but I actually ended up putting my own band together and we still going at it today. Angel advice and dedication to me as a voice student is something I will never forget and always be thankful for. You need to come back to LA, or maybe I should move to SF. ;)
Martan is a fabulous teacher! He focuses on jazz and blues piano, but is happy to help students with any piano topic. Highly recommended!
Isaac and the Haze is a fantastic dance band! They were really the perfect entertainment for last two parties of about 60 people each. We hired them because some of our co-workers had heard them play at the Crow's Nest in Santa Cruz. The guys arrived about an hour early to set up their sound equipment and were ready to play right on time. Isaac, the lead singer, plays a keytar and electric cello. He has a great voice, with a big range of emotion, and really engaged the audience in between songs. The lead and back-up vocals were great and consistently held up against the big beat of the band. Other band members played lead guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard. I was worried that their 5-member band would overpower the relatively small venue, but the sound levels were perfect, and they didn’t blast us to the back of the room. There were 20 or more people dancing all the time, including young kids and a grandma in her 90's. We really liked the numbers they performed, which were mostly covers of R&B music from the 2000's, like Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic, DNCE’s Cake By The Ocean, Maroon 5’s Moves Like Jaggar, and works by Justin Timberlake. You could tell the band members were all having a good time too and enjoyed what they were doing. Great music! Great entertainment!
Professional, talented musicians. A pleasure to deal with. They get it.
Little Charlie's Organ Grinder Swing plays jazz, blues and Latin music for any occasion. Add a touch of class to your event with this world-renowned band. OGS has toured the world and performed thousands of gigs together as the Blues band Little Charlie and the Nightcats, one of the most respected Jump Blues bands in the business. OGS is the jazz offshoot of this very popular band, comprised of Little Charlie's phenomenal guitar, Lorenzo Farrell's greasy Hammond B-3 organ and J. Hansen's swinging drumming. You won't be disappointed by this professional band which music ranges from sophisticated quiet jazz to rocking, swinging dance tunes depending on the event's requirements.
The Refugees are the most authentic Tom Petty tribute band in the nation! The band was named the top tribute band in the entire SF Bay Area in 2009 on KFOX 98.5 FM.

JD and Company is a seven-piece party/dance band which plays popular music from the 50s to the present.
I'm a rock/jazz drummer with experience working out songs, building bands, and organizing live sets. I usually work with a guitarist and bassist, and I'm used to improvising new drum parts to go along with their riffs and solos. I'm less about crazy chops and drum solos, and more about just delivering a great, steady beat. I also manage a small practice space, Abbot Studio. Our recording equipment isn't great, but it's enough for a proof of concept, and I have a good relationship with a more professional recording studio, ShatteredRecords. I'm located in Dale City, CA.
