I had an injury, and John helped to fix it with his core training in no time at all. He is not only a trainer, but a cheerleader and even a therapist and builds up your confidence. He knows what he's talking about and has the evidence to back up his exercises. His beliefs are to stay injury free and he is masterful at it. If you want to become a better athlete while staying healthy doing so, talk to John. He will always steer you right.

John B. at Endurance Fitness Performance is everything you need in a coach and trainer. He’s trustworthy, positive, knowledgeable, but finds balance in holding you accountable. Before working with EFP, I had no idea what I was doing with my health and fitness. John B. taught me that the process of taking my health back would be a lifelong journey that meant working on flexibility, movement and exercise, nutrition, recovery, and balance. He creates workouts to meet your needs and goals, and has helped me strengthen my body as well as my outlook when it comes to working out. There’s no one I would trust more in guiding me in my health and fitness journey than John B. and Endurance Fitness Performance.

I initially met John through the Fil-Am Triathlon forum on Facebook. He gave me the warmest welcome when I joined the group and pointed out that we had a lot in common, including being former cross country runners at the same high school. I learned later through family and mutual friends that John had volunteered and trained them with running in the past, and that he was a good person. When COVID-19 restrictions hit, I canceled all my gym memberships. I had almost everyone you could imagine - Orange Theory Fitness, F45, YMCA, and 24 Hour. I turned to running but wanted to really improve. I had committed to completing my first Triple Crown, a circuit of three San Diego-based half marathons in 2020. After cramping through my first marathon, I was determined to learn more and was inspired to use the momentum to get into triathlons. John took me under his wing and I couldn't have asked for a better match. Despite so many challenges I was dealing with personally, he became more than a coach and personal trainer. He entertained every single question I had about fitness and triathlons, and would walk me through everything. He planned out a whole workout plan for me, as well as whole shopping lists. We met each week to keep me accountable, and he was flexible enough to meet super early in the morning to accommodate my busy schedule as a business owner, husband, and father of two young kids. John is a coach that has 100% of my respect. He was knowledgeable and honest. He was willing to teach anything and everything he knew. He understood what I was trying to balance and kept a healthy toughness on me. He knew I would be hard on myself, and found a way to inspire me to go through a tough workout and stay strong for the next one. I think I got so much value from our time together that it's honestly a lot to put down in a single review. I can list what I learned, but it might still not give our story justice. What you may need to know is that I was an injured runner dealing with bad knees wanting to learn how to swim and complete my first triathlon. As someone who has spent years in the industry as a sports trainer and retailer, John not only helped me buy all the gear I needed but taught me how to use each one properly. - Running Optimization & Gear - Beginning in Triathlons & Gear - Indoor & Open Water Swimming - Pre-and-Post Workout Recovery - Life Balance and Discipline - Dealing with Injuries & Stretching - Working out with Minimal Equipment At the end of half a year together, I completed the triple crown and a sprint triathlon. The sprint was not an official race because everything was canceled, so John was able to create a mock race on my behalf and paced me the whole way. If you are looking for someone who will adapt to your physical training goals and help you crush them, but also happens to be an expert at long-distance training - John is your guy. He may also turn into your biggest supporter and friend. He's not just there to train or teach, but to improve every facet of your life, even if he has to listen to life drama and play therapist as best he could. Training with Coach John B. from Endurance.Fitness.Performance has been life changing. For years, I have been trying to find a workout routine that works for me. I have joined multiple gyms, taken classes, and even tried to do the free video workouts that are available on Amazon. Unfortunately, nothing really stuck. Now in my mid-forties, I have been dealing with health issues such as high blood pressure, weight gain and back pain. I wanted to do something about it, so I decided to try Coach John B. My only goal was to get healthier and I wanted to see what it was like to have a trainer. I never felt pressured or insecure. His friendly demeanor let me know that I could trust him with my issues. After he evaluated me, he made a personalized plan specific to my needs and abilities. He uses a cool Bridge App which shows each exercise that includes videos, timers, and the ability to connect with him should I have questions regarding my workouts. He connected with me through text, email, and phone throughout the week to see how I was doing and how the workouts were going, and he made adjustments as needed. He corrected me if I was doing my exercises incorrectly and taught me about the importance of stretching and using a foam roller. Coach motivated me throughout and helped me to stay focused on my goals. I am now heading into my fourth month of training and have noticed huge changes. My blood pressure has gotten better, and I am off the main blood pressure medication that I was taking. My clothing fits loosely now and the back pain has subsided significantly. Now ten pounds lighter, I feel better, have more energy, and I’m motivated to continue my workouts with Coach. I can genuinely say that I look forward to my workouts now. It has been challenging and I know I have a lot of hard work to do but I’m excited about the health changes that are to come. Coach John B. has been incredible throughout this transformation and I can’t recommend him enough to help you with your health and fitness goals!

I highly recommend John for any training needs you may have. I have trained with John on and off for a couple of years now from learning to box, to preparing for a race to maintaining general fitness and each time I exceeded my goals and fitness level expctations. John is a great motivator and knows how to get you to the next level and beyond.
