Introduction: Hello and thanks for considering working with me! I'm a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where I studied at the Meisner and Classical Studios and the Experimental Theater Wing. I TA'ed and directed curricular productions at the Meisner Studio for ten years after graduating, and have taught my own classes in Shakespeare and contemporary scene study for the Open Arts program at Tisch for the last seven semesters, prior to my move to Los Angeles. I have worked in Film, TV, and theater both in NY and London, where I lived for a couple of years. Notable TV appearances include San Junipero, the Emmy award winning episode of Netflix's Black Mirror, and Starz's Outlander. I am especially passionate about classical material and would love to work with you on it (or introduce you to it!), but I love working on contemporary material as well. My approach is an eclectic mix of methodologies and I feel strongly that the work we do together must be a collaboration. I'm not here to impress my dogma onto your performance; I want to help you find your unique voice within the material so that you can deliver work that is authentically yours. I prefer to coach out of my space in Studio City, but I can also travel to you if necessary. I'm also happy to work remotely via Zoom if that's preferred. I look forward to working with you!

Billy was incredibly helpful as he worked with our son to prepare for a callback audition. He gave him clear and tangible feedback which helped him feel more prepared and confident heading into his audition. He was knowledgeable, direct and easy to work with. Our son also appreciated that he shared his experience in the context of the material they were working on. His experience was very positive with Billy and we would highly recommend him!

I adore working with Billy. In addition to his immense knowledge of Shakespeare, he knows exactly how to tackle a Film/TV scene. He's worked extensively in all these disciplines in New York City, London and Los Angeles, so he's incredibly helpful in knowing how to "book it". I'm based in London and often book online sessions with him to work through projects and auditions I have. Billy is my go-to coach.

Your needs on any given day will dictate how we spend our time.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I trained at NYU's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts where I have also taught acting for the last decade. I have worked professionally in film, TV & theater in the US and UK.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I've trained students at the undergraduate and graduate level, majors and non-majors, total beginners and seasoned professionals. I've helped actors audition for film, TV and theater, as well as top-tier high school, undergraduate and graduate training programs.
