Hi! I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor in Vocal performance (learning both contemporary and classical technique). Before that I attended a music magnet high school with voice as principal instrument. In addition to singing I took piano lessons for over 10 years, mostly classical repertoire but also contemporary. Since college I have been teaching both vocal and piano for 11 years now, and I teach all ages and a variety of styles. My classes are fun, creative and thorough, and I strive to help the student to reach their goals. I love meeting new people and I make sure that the student feels safe and encouraged. I've been taking voice lessons with Guro for the past couple of years and I have to say she is great! She knows her stuff, is very professional and will help you to achieve your musical goals in a short time. She is very well versed in all styles of music and has a lot of musical experience as an instructor and a performer. As well as voice, Guro also teaches piano and music theory and sometimes incorporates that into our lessons which makes me feel like a more well rounded musician. If you are looking to take voice lessons, piano lessons or music theory lessons, Guro is the teacher for you!

Guro is a wonderful, patient, extremely knowledgeable instructor! Would recommend any student of any age or level to take lessons from her. She is prompt, professional and extremely personable!

Guro is an angel. My daughter loves her lessons. Guro is able to connect with my daughter through many genres of music. Last night, the pair had a blast working on a Korean hip hop song they found on line. I cannot say enough great things about Guro, she is pleasant, prompt, professional, and brightens the room when she walks in. Definitely two thumbs up.
