Brandon was really great and patient with us and our guests. He was right on time, the quality of photos are great, and he had to deal with 55 people at the same time! But he managed everything very patiently. And made our engagement party a very memorable night for all of us!

I made a decision to retry online dating and needed profile pictures. Being camera shy/resistant, I needed to find a
photographer who was able to coax me into feeling open and spontaneous in order to capture the 'best' of me in a photograph.
Brandon's warmth and easy-going manners helped me to relax and enjoy the process. His approach of involving me in the background choices as well as listening to my concerns about being photographed increased my comfort level with him. He listened.
The real magic happened when he allowed his dog, Captain, to be part of the shoot. Brandon kept taking pictures and was not distracted by Captain's playful antics.
Within 24 hours after the shoot, Brandon sent me the proofs; I made my choices; he retouched as I requested and returned the pics to me.
I have received numerous compliments on my photos.
Brandon will be my 'go to' photographer. I plan to recommend him to anyone who needs high quality and a truly personal touch.

Brandon is an amazing photographer and captured so many shots that I love! He was very responsive when I reached out and helpful to create the vision I was looking for in our session. We were able to schedule a session within a day or so of me reaching out and he sent me pictures back the morning after our session. I came to Thumbtack in search of a photographer for our last minute family/holiday photo shoot. I came across Brando Conklin Photography and loved the work he had displayed on his page. I messaged him and he was quick and responsive and we were able to book a shoot for that same weekend!
We chatted about my inspiration for the shoot and he found a location close to my home that worked out perfectly.
I have two young girls ages 1 & 5 and Brandon handled the shoot like the professional he is! He was very patient and friendly with the kids and just allowed them to be themselves. We booked an hour shoot and when the youngest had a meltdown and no longer wanted to cooperate I was afraid he hadn't been able to get any good shots...
But it was just the opposite! He captured amazing family photos and perfect candid photos of the girls ❤. When he sent over the photos I had a permanent smile because I love all 200 of them! Lol.
I can't thank Brandon enough for his professionalism and taking such great photos of my family.
We will see you again soon for our next family photo shoot!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is a measure of quality versus quantity, and when shooting events I strive to capture establishing moments, detailed shots of the venue, vendors, candids and posed photos for guests. Pricing includes my travel time/costs, plus the hours of post-production and gallery hosting on the backend.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Film/TV Production from Loyola Marymount University, where I was able to receive hands-on training with both camera and lighting equipment. I bought my first DSLR during this time and have been taking photos ever since.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My photography was born out of filmmaking. When I wasn't shooting video projects, I began to use my camera for taking photos of friends, travel, events, etc. As of April 2022, I have been full-time freelance.
