Abraham Perez is a Licensed Bodywork practitioner and Sports Rehabilitation Therapist since 2007. Specializing in correcting postural integrity by means of fascial reconstruction and scar tissue removal, his modalities include Rolfing, trigger point therapy, active release therapy, Resistence Flexibility, Gua Sha, and Lymphatic flush.
The body’s connective tissue “fascia” has a tendency to accumulate in areas where our structural integrity is compromised from past trauma, surrounding the muscles in an internal cast of “scar tissue”. Because fascia is non-porous, blood can no longer circulate to the muscle, blocking life giving blood and nutrients.
When the muscles are no longer being fed they begin to wither and inflammation, numbness, pain, and atrophy begin to appear as a response.
By activating the muscle and fascia, he is able to remove excess scar tissue, creating immediate results in improved circulation, range of motion, and drastic decrease in inflammation.
This technique is most effective for sciatica, plantar fascitis, whiplash, tennis elbow, carpel tunnel syndrome, TMJ or any accident that has caused scar tissue to accumulate.
Inspired by his alternative medicine practitioner mother, he began massaging at the age of four.
After graduating Everest College he studied with chiropractors, physical therapists, nutritionists, reiki masters, acupuncturists, and rolphers, and has worked at ‘Five Diamond Resorts’, spas, festivals, hospitals and corporate retreats.
Abraham has developed his original bodywork technique, and opened his own practice in Los Angeles. He travels the world to teach and practice his unique skills for high end clientele.
