I don't really know where to begin with how amazing of a teacher Richard is. He's beginner friendly. I came in with a very limited skill set, and knowledge base. After only a month he has gotten me singing in a more consistent, comfortable tone. He is willing to go above and beyond for his students, his positive attitude has yet to fail in making me feel both relaxed, and confident enough to find my voice. Richard uses great analogies to help understand the concepts. Even on a bad day I seem to be able to find my voice thanks to his guidance, not a single lesson, or a shred of advice has gone unappreciated by me. For both his professionalism, his knowledge, and Richard as a person I cannot recommend him enough.

Richard is a great teacher and coach. You can tell he really cares about his students and is generous with his time. I have been taking lessons with him to improve my speaking voice and he has been teaching me how to improve my breath and my tone towards both speaking and singing. Highly recommended!

I started vocal training when I was about seven years old, maybe younger. And I took private lessons from 5th grade until I graduated high school. I went 6 years with absolutely nothing and then decided to try private lessons again because I miss singing. In just 5 lessons, Richard has improved exponentially upon what all of those teachers and directors were able to produce from me over 10 years. Richard has really broken down for me the fundamentals of singing, how it works, how different things can feel and how it should feel. And he’s really taken the pressure off and allowed me to just enjoy singing and the things my voice can do. The lessons are easy, anyone can do them. He gives you really simple three or four note scales to do and explains everything. If you’re a visual learner like I am, Richard will be perfect for you, he explains everything with fun visualizations and he’ll keep giving you different suggestions until you find something that clicks. In barely any lessons at all, my voice has become brighter, clearer, prettier and most importantly, I understand why, and how to get it there every single time I sing. Richard is so kind, so much fun and really positive. I encourage everyone who wants to sing, whether professionally or just because they love it, to give Richard a try.

WONDERFUL, PHENOMENAL, SUPPORTIVE TEACHER! I started my lessons with Rich over a year ago. I came to him with little experience, without technique and at the same time experiencing a sore and hoarse voice during singing. I knew I loved to sing and had some pieces of the puzzle but was unable to put them together. Some key things I've learned over the past year is to open up my voice, supportive breathing, blend voices and even went up two octaves, something I thought was never possible. From the beginning, he's shown patience, set clear and attainable goals which I've reached quickly! When I have trouble hitting notes, he never says anything negative and gently encourages ways to work my voice using technique. He tailors the lesson to me, allows me to pick and choose the music I want to learn and does not follow a "method" or standard voice lessons that many teachers ask students to go by. In addition, he introduces me to a variety of genres in order to expand my repertoire. With the strong foundation Rich has provided, I'm now saving my voice, started developing proper technique and hear and feel myself improving with each lesson. Whether you’ve a beginner, need to brush up on skills or a professional I highly encourage you to try a lesson with Rich.

Richard is a great guy. He got right back to me with all my options and pricing. I have noticed right away a boost in the power of my voice after just a couple lessons. Very easy to talk to and uses great analogies to understand the concepts. Very happy with the lessons.
