FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My system of pricing is simple but effective. When others charge you $0.25 per SqFt to clean your carpets... they end up charging you $25 for only 100 SqFt of floor space (for the same price I clean up to 200 SqFt). They often charge additional (hidden) fees they do not discuss until they come to your home and start nit-picking your floors and adding anywhere from $2-$25 per stain or issue. I use a simplified model for pricing. I charge $25 per area (2 area minimum) consisting of an area being no larger than 150 SqFt. For areas larger than 150 SqFt; I charge an additional $25 for that area. I typically charge only $25 for pet treatments (others charge an additional $2 PER STAIN!) For Stairs I charge $25... (are you seeing a pattern here?) while others charge $2 PER STAIR! (a typical staircase is 15 steps... so I give you a $5 discount already!) I do provide all of my fellow Veterans with a 10% discount on all work I do for them. All they have to do is show me a VA Identification or Active Duty Identification card.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we have priced bid estimate we include a message explaining exactly what the bid includes and give them our qualifications and ask them any further questions we may have. We also invite them to contact us in order for them to get a feel for who we are. Once we are hired, we contact them for scheduling and location information. During this process we try to answer any questions they have and propose solutions to their concerns.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20 years of experience in the flooring industry. I started at the age of 14 cutting in my first room of carpet padding. I knee kicked in my first room of carpet at the age of 15. I have 15 years of work as a flooring contractor working around the United States. I know every type of flooring you can think of personally. I am IICRC certified and constantly attend classes for stain removal, cleaning processes, and upholstery cleaning. I attend such classes in order to remind myself of the little things I may not use everyday and may have forgotten as well as to update myself on the newest products and procedures in floor cleaning.
