Introduction: I specialize in intimate weddings and small family gatherings. I've been photographing couples and events for more than 10 years and run a small portrait studio in Truckee, CA. My focus is to capture a series of beautiful and emotional portraits during your celebration. The kind that will never go out of style. Polina was the photographer for our wedding on September 8th and we could not have asked for a better photographer! She was very involved in the months before the wedding, spending the time to get to know us and what we envisioned for the big day. And on the big day she captured the most beautiful and amazing photos of every important moment! We got our photos back after only 4 weeks and still can't get over how much we love them. Polina is terrific! Our photos are stunning (friends said our posed portraits look like they belong on the cover of Vogue ; ). She was easy to communicate with, affordable for her great talent level, and such a lovely presence the day of the event. My wife gets shy posing, and Polina had wonderful techniques for helping her relax and take natural, beautiful photos. The wedding was midday (so the lighting was harsh) but the photos came out soft and beautiful. She was also flexible with creating a package that worked for our budget, and provided us access to all the photos (even the untouched ones), which we loved. She sent us a beautiful wood box with our photos on a flash drive and some sweet gifts in it after the wedding. I recommend Polina absolutely for your wedding or event.

Polina was amazing and went above and beyond our expectations. We were on a budget initially but after seeing her examples, fair pricing, and knowledge of the Truckee/Tahoe area we knew we had to have her as our photographer. It was 100% the right decision. After so much running around and being busy throughout our wedding day, it was awesome to be able to look back and re-experience the day by viewing the remarkable photographs she had taken. FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The offer I am sending to you through the Thumbtack has all the details on what is included in your photography package and that is covered by my fee. The offer's price is already discounted down from my regular prices since I am trying to fill the available days in my calendar.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For my wedding photography clients, we'll alway try to meet in person in my studio in Truckee or via FaceTime call prior to booking. I'll answer the questions you may have and ask you about your perfect day and the images you have in mind. I'll draft a proposal with all the financial details, agreement terms and model releases to be signed by both parties before the booking. I accept credit cards and personal checks for payment and offer free installment plans.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelor's in Fine Art with a concentration in Photography from a cooperative program of ICP (International Center of Photography) and St. John's University in New York.
