Really responsive and seemingly affordable. The only issues were: A: No BBB accreditation. If you're not willing to pay for BBB, what else are you not willing to pay for. Compared to other companies, a BBB adds legitimacy. B: There was no website. When I asked about it, they said they were updating it and "anyone can have a website". Yea.. and anyone can also NOT have a website. My concerns were combatted. Moving scams are a thing. C. Few reviews online. Ill always root for a new business, but after a couple years, you should have more than a hundred. They were responsive and I appreciated that. Its just... Im moving my life. I need to KNOW its not a scam To be fair, their website is now up and running and I probably would have been fine. But having my concerns seemingly ignored and dismissed just added to my reason for cancellation. I put 550 down, and they did refund me afterward.

Hello Mrs. Logan, we are truly sorry that you decided not to proceed with Y&O Moving for your relocation. We understand and appreciate your concerns as you can never be too careful these days when choosing a mover. To clarify a few points in your review, 1. We are in the process of rebranding so our website was under construction at the time you wished to cancel. It was down for about 1-2 weeks while our marketing team made the necessary changes to showcase our new logo and brand. As you noted in your review, it is live and we are very happy to share our new easy to navigate site with other potential customers. 2. We do have an active and longstanding BBB Profile and I feel there may be some confusion as to what being Accredited means. BBB offers perks such as print/copy discounts, savings on office supplies and they will also "boost" otherwise not-so-great ratings for companies that pay to be Accredited. We do not have a need for these special offers, nor do we require our rating to be "boosted". The A+ rating that we have currently is an earned rating as we do not pay for it to be increased or improved. We earned this on our own merit by providing outstanding service to our clients. 3. Regarding the number of reviews, as I am certain you are aware most clients take to Google and other sites most often to leave negative reviews. Unfortunately, many consumers do not feel the need to share a positive experience as often they do a negative one. However, between our A+ rating on BBB, 4.8 stars on Google (unheard of for a moving company), and our 4.5 stars on Thumbtack, this alone should tell you that we are a legitimate and reliable company. I can also share that for the first 6 years of being in business we operated as the primary carrier in southern California on behalf of another large Domestic/International Carrier. We did not start obtaining our own reviews until we implemented our own internal sales department in early 2024. I am sorry that we do not live up to your expectations on how many reviews you feel we should have, we value quality reviews over quantity. I am still unsure why you felt the need to leave this review more than 3 weeks after you chose to cancel your service after receiving a quote $300 cheaper than ours and immediately receiving a full refund within 2 business days of your request. Y & O Moving did a great job with our move. With all the horror stories you hear about movers I thought finding one for our move from California to Florida was going to be a nightmare, but they made it so easy for us. From how well the furniture was packed, to the amazing communication from the office, to the great pricing and the best part was no damage! Thanks, Y & O!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based on the amount of cubic feet required to accommodate your move and the distance your move is going. Never pay for unused space, we only charge for the amount of space your items utilize on the truck. We do offer Military and Senior Discounts.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
One of our highly experienced Estimators will gladly collect your inventory, basic information, requested pickup dates and will be happy to answer any other questions that you may have. We can take your inventory over the phone, using our virtual process, or by means of an on-site estimate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team of Professionals are employees of Y&O Moving Consulting Services LLC and have been part of our team for many years. Each member has extensive experience in the moving industry and is able to effectively and efficiently accommodate any size move.
