Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Are you feeling overwhelmed with all of the stress in your life? Do you sometimes feel paralyzed by worry and fear, unsure of where to turn or how to change your life for the better? Do you try to do everything for everyone and feel completely worn out as a result? (And with relationships that are no better than they were before??) Or are you struggling with behavior problems in a child and feeling hopeless about ever seeing any improvement? I help overwhelmed parents find relief for themselves and find answers for their children's most challenging struggles. Whether you or your child are struggling with anxiety and worry, sadness, tantrums, anger, difficulty making friends, or other issues, I can help you better understand what is happening and find a solution that works for you. I am a licensed psychologist (PSY23260), providing assessment and psychotherapy to children, teens, and adults in the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas. As a UCLA graduate, I strive to use well-researched techniques, while providing a space to talk about struggles in an open and authentic manner.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with both children and adults on a variety of issues, including managing anxiety, fighting fears and phobias, improving self-confidence, decreasing depression, and improving relationships. With parents and children, I also work on helping reduce behavior problems at home and helping parents feel more empowered in their role. Sometimes this involves helping kids develop better skills to cope with stress and manage emotions, and sometimes it involves setting up behavior management plans at home.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask questions! Sometimes finding a therapist can seem like a mysterious and daunting process. I often tell my clients that finding someone you feel comfortable talking with is the #1 thing you should be looking for in a therapist. So call, ask questions, try to get a feel for whether this is someone you can connect with and share your concerns. Also, your provider should be able to explain clearly what they are doing in their treatment and why they are choosing that particular treatment for you.
