We had Carlos and his team relocate our irrigation valves and install a concrete patio & walkway in our side yard in preparation for a hot tub. He was very friendly, punctual, explained to me his entire plan for doing the concrete, and answered any questions I had. They did a fantastic job with the concrete and it looks great. We did have an issue with one of the irrigation valves being installed backwards, but he came back out to troubleshoot it and got it fixed. I really appreciate that he followed up to make that right. We are very happy with the work that he and his team did and would recommend them to anyone looking to get a landscaping project completed.

Very happy with my outdoor kitchen that J construction did for me! It turned out to be more difficult than first glance, but Jose and his team were able to advise and figure it out every step of the way, without any big up charges with added work! The finish product turned out gorgeous. Would definitely recommend and use again!

This was my first experience with finding a service provider on Thumbtack so I was skeptical about the quality of the companies that sent proposals to me. I narrowed my list down to three after phone interviews, and received proposals from all three. Two of the companies came to my home to see the work site. J Custom Construction's owner's (Jose) showed up promptly and was exceptionally professional and pleasant. He obviously takes pride in his work and in his business. His walkthrough of the work site was meticulous, and Jose's proposal included details (such as gas and electrical connections) that had to be dealt with that no other offeror mentioned. I was very impressed by Jose's overall construction and demolition knowledge. He detailed the work he would do, and how he would do it, and we agreed on a price. He kept to the start date and time, and his team worked constantly during their designated working hours. His entire crew was attentive to details and cleanliness. The end result was the job exceptionally well done, ahead of schedule, for the cost that we agreed. For your background, the work included demolishing built up above-ground walls with rock faces, concrete block and poured concrete removal, and below ground spa demolition for site preparation for a new back yard landscape project. Jose and his team are professionals with whom I hope to do business again. I will always ask him to bid on any construction or demolition work I need to do on my property.
