Brandon has been tutoring my son for only a week and it's already made a huge difference for my 14 year olds math confidence. Brandon is an excellent teacher. He explains things clearly and if my son gets a wrong answer he talks him through it to figure out why, without being unkind. I am so glad we found Brandon. Just wish I'd done this sooner.

For math test prep (e.g., SAT/ACT), my rates are $68 for 1 hour/week, or $60 for 2+ hours/week.
For standard math lessons, my rates are $56 for 1 hour/week, or $48 for 2+ hours/week.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to understand students' goals and interests, and gradually discuss the math topic; math tends to be a subject fearful to many, and I want to be mindful in how we approach such a subject.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned an Associate's Degree in General Studies with a focus in math and science.
I taught a semester-long (14 weeks) college course at San Francisco State University, became a founding member of a program aimed at assisting and tutoring first generation low-income college students in health & social science majors.
I earned a teaching credential in mathematics for the state of California at SDSU.
I received my Master's in Teaching: Mathematics.
I started a PhD program in Math Education. However, after a semester, I withdrew from the program as I aim to pursue other ambitions.
